ST. LOUIS (KTVI) – From the Biebs to the Blues, it`s been a busy few days at Scottrade Center and Peabody Opera House and that`s just how they like it this time of year.

'You know for a 22-year-old building she still has character,' says Doug Waugh. Senior Director of Building Operations and Safety.

Doug Waugh doesn`t usually get to sit in these seats.

That`s because he`s usually busy making sure everything is in place before the next big event.

And if he`s done his job right you`ll never know there were 16,000 screaming fans filled Scottrade Center to see Justin Bieber hours ago.

'One of his acts was where the rain came down as part of his show and they have a bladder around the show and they pumped in 450 gallons of water and he got soaked as part of the act,' says Waugh.

As the scoreboard was raised and the Olympia ice machine made its way around the arena, all was in place for the 2 pm Blues skate.

And the place will come alive Thursday for 19,000 fans.

Waugh has worked in buildings and been a part of three NBA championships and one Stanley Cup and likes how the building feels for game five.

'Winning is 70-20-10, that`s 70% team, 20 % fans and 10% building.  And as long as the fans get engaged Thursday night, we got this,' says Waugh.
