CASEYVILLE, IL (KTVI) – Two different cats found in the same general area with very similar wounds – they were both shot by identical pink arrows.

Fox 2 News first reported about “Arrow,” the cat found with an arrow shot straight through its midsection.
He was found last Friday morning on a property near Caseyville and brought to Horseshoe Lake Animal Hospital for surgery.

A week later Friday, Animal Control took another cat to the same clinic. They nicknamed him “Archer” because he also was shot by an arrow, this time in his leg.

Veterinarians say Archer may need to have his leg amputated because the arrow shattered the bone in his leg. Meanwhile, Arrow is recovering from an infection.

Meanwhile, the St. Clair County Sheriff’s Department has a person of interest. It believes that person is responsible for hurting both cats.
