BRENTWOOD, MO (KTVI) - A second suspect has been charged in the case of a robbery and assault at a Brentwood children’s clothing store. The entire incident was captured on surveillance video.

Warrants have been issued for Kailyn Chambers, 18, of St. Louis. Brentwood Police said Chambers forcibly stole clothing from Carter’s clothing store by pushing a store clerk outside the store.

Brentwood Police said Chambers was wearing a black and white shirt, blue denim jacket and dark gray sweatpants with the word, “PINK” on the leg.

“They maced an employee while stealing? It’s horrible,” Gwen Young, a shopper, said. “I think our youth need more direction and more programs to help them be involved in things where they don’t see that as a result or as an option.”

The incident happened the evening of March 4.

Brentwood Police said the suspects selected more than two dozen pieces of baby clothing and rushed for the door. Security video shows the trio pushing the clerk outside the store, where police say she was sprayed with a chemical “irritant.”

A first suspect was charged days after the incident. Breaoni Hyde, 25, of St. Louis, faces second-degree robbery charges. Court documents indicate that Hyde “forcibly stole clothing from Carter’s clothing store by pushing the store worker.”

“It’s ridiculous, It’s very ridiculous. You have to work for what you want. You know, people work hard for stuff. And it just makes it bad for everyone,” shopper Angela Rinehart said.
