RICHMOND HEIGHTS, MO (KTVI) - Police shut down the intersection of Hanley at Dale for a shooting investigation Wednesday afternoon. They blocked the area off as a crime scene. They say a rolling gun battle ended in the area.
Richmond Heights Police say they got a call at around 12:30pm for shots fired at a Circle K on Dale Avenue. Two cars were involved in a rolling gun battle. It ended less than a half a block away at the eastbound ramp of I-64.
At this point police say they don`t know if it`s a case of road rage, but they are checking. They did find 9-shell casings in the street and say the windshield of an innocent bystander was hit. Luckily the driver was not hurt.
Police don`t know if anyone inside of the suspect's cars were shot. Descriptions of the cars are expected soon.
Both sides of Hanley were affected for about 30 minutes causing major delays while police investigated the scene.
Police are in the process of looking at video to determine who may have been involved the shooting.
