ST. LOUIS (KTVI) - The students of Show Me Arts Academy scored a meet-and-greet with Beyoncé during her St. Louis stop on the Formation World Tour.
The students came to the Dome at America’s Center armed with the lyrics to their favorite Bey songs. They belted out “Love on Top” on the sidewalk as thousands streamed into Downtown St. Louis.
“We are healing other people,” said Jaden Noble. “We are making people strong. And it just touches my heart.”
She stopped thinking about all the community service she has performed with the group and remembered she was about to meet her idol.
“Yeah,” she laughed nervously. “I will go crazy and nuts.”
These are not just any fans. They just returned from their own nationwide tour. They performed on FOX2 News at 9AM. They were interviewed by Shirley Washington for “The Pulse of St. Louis” on News 11. They even have a viral video.
But, Noble never thought she would be able to ask Queen Bey: “How did you get through your stages of performance?”
Joseph Davis planned to ask how she maintains staying power personally.
“She is just like all of us,” he said. “I just want to ask her how does she manage everything that she does and still stay level headed.”
Davis knows about performing under intense personal pressure. He had been through a car accident that spared him but killed his girlfriend. The show me arts academy helped him recover.
“When I came, it was a totally new environment that I didn’t know I would experience. So many different artists and so many different talented people in one room, it was overwhelming.”
Also overwhelming was the amount of hospitality the kids would enjoy. The teens got tickets in the "Bey-Hive" section of the venue. They sat so close to the stage, the tickets were worth $1,500 each. The students also sang for Beyoncé and her executives.
The kids spread love to each other and across the country, while a new mentor gave that love back.
The teens were under very strict orders not to record any video during the meet-and-greet. However, they were allowed to take pictures and post them to social media under #BEYGOOD.
