Sigma Gamma Rho hosts Golden Alert town hall meeting in St. Louis

ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI)- Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. is hosting a second national town hall meeting in St. Louis this weekend. The Golden Alert Town Hall will include forums and youth symposiums developed to address current community issues.

The event will feature hip hop pioneer MC Lyte, the President/CEO of the Urban League of Metropolitan St. Louis, Michael P. McMillan, and Lt. Col. Kenneth Gregory of the St. Louis County Police Department. Dr. Daniel Isom, Director of Missouri Department of Public Safety will provide community updates from the Governor’s Office.

The Urban League of Metropolitan St. Louis is co-sponsoring the town hall meeting which will include a voter registration drive, interactive workshops, strategies and resources on civic engagement, constitutional rights and much more. It is free and open to the public.

The Golden Alert Town Hall will be held Saturday, February 21, 2015, from 9am-1pm on the campus of the University of Missouri-St. Louis in the J. C. Penney Conference Center.
