SIUE gets $23M for science building

EDWARDSVILLE, Ill. (KTVI) – Illinois Governor Pat Quinn was in Edwardsville Tuesday to present SIUE (Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville) a check for $23 million to complete renovation of a science building on the campus.

The check was presented to former Illinois congressman and current Southern Illinois University President Glenn Poshard and Edwardsville Chancellor Julie Furst-Bowe.

The money will be used to finish renovation of the old science building, to complement the recently completed new science building. The renovation will feature new classrooms, labs and office space.
