SIUE student kidnapped, questioned and forced to withdraw cash

EDWARDSVILLE, IL (KTVI) – Police are looking for several suspects who kidnapped and robbed a SIUE student.

A male student was leaving Prarrie Hall at around 11:30pm Wednesday night when a masked man, armed with a gun, forced the victim into a car. Driven by a female suspect and a third unidentified suspect, who were both wearing white masks.

The suspects then drove around for several hours, questioning the blindfolded victim. They then took him to an ATM on campus and forced him to withdraw money.

The victim was then dropped off unharmed at 157 and Lewis Road in Edwardsville.

Police are looking for a silver or white, newer model, four-door Pontiac.

Investigators tell us say they don't think this crime was random and the victim may have known his attackers.
