(CNN) - An incredible show of sportsmanship at a high school track meet in Columbus, Ohio; where a 17-year-old runner earned massive praise for carrying an injured opponent to the finish line.

Meghan Vogel was in last place in the 3,200 meter run Saturday when she finally caught up to her closest competitor.  But instead of zipping past the runner, whose body was giving out, Vogel carried her opponent to the finish line.
