ST. ANN, MO – Exclusive dashcam video of a St. Ann police officer injured in a crash this morning. The officer is expected to be okay.

This makes two St. Ann police officers injured in just three days.  Police Chief Aaron Jimenez says the accident Tuesday morning was due to distracted driving.

Jimenez has this message for the public. “Put the phone down, hands-free, no texting… Be mindful, not only of police but the traffic on your everyday commute,” said Jimenez.

Chief Jimenez hopes both officers will be back on duty within 60 to 90 days.

The distracted driver in Tuesday’s crash will not face charges
