(KTVI) – The St. Charles County Division of Emergency Management has issued a list of road affected by flooding due to Thursday’s heavy rains. Motorists are urged to use extreme caution on any road with standing water on it and to obey any road closures.
A sandbagging effort along the Mississippi River levee in Portage des Sioux is underway. Seven hundred tons of sand has been brought it.
Many parts of 94 in the West Alton are underwater. Residents must use a detour.

Per the City of West Alton – Citizens of the City of West Alton are advised to take precautions as the water levels are expected to top the levee by Monday morning.
Riverview at Hwy 94 (north of St. Charles City) is flooded, as is:
Peruque Creek Rd.
Island Rd. at train tussle
Grafton Ferry Rd. at Portage des Sioux Dr.
The entrance road leading to Hideaway Harbor Park in Portage des Sioux is not accessible. Please contact the St. Charles County Parks Closure/Cancellation Information Hotline at (636) 949-7475 for further park updates.
St. Peters reports flooding along the Dardenne Creek. No road closures. Six city parks and Lakeside 370 Park has been closed.
