ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI) – A St. Louis Reddit user compiled information from the geographic information system to show changes in area demographics over the last 20 years.

User “amishrefugee,” created 10 different maps that show the growth in population, what areas citizens are migrating to, and racial demographics. The user looked at areas within a 50 mile radius including St. Charles and St. Louis County.

The maps reveal some interesting demographic shifts in the area’s population. St. Charles County is a main contributing factor in total area population growth. St. Louis County’s population has not grown in the last 20 yearsand the region as a whole is becoming less segregated.
