chess(KTVI) – Checkmate!   St. Louis could become the Chess capital of the United States.

Legislation in Washington is also identifying Chess as a way to promote problem-solving, boost critical thinking, and raise math and reading scores for kids.

The Chess Club and Scholastic Center of St. Louis has hosted the U.S. and Women’s Chess Championship for five years in a row.
