ST. LOUIS, MO. (KTVI) - A St. Louis day care has been shut down by the state of Missouri.

The state Department of Health and Senior Services revoked the license of "Kidz in Action" day care on Palm Street in north city.

Prior to the state action, St. Louis building inspectors condemned the building.

City officials said they found electrical and sanitary violations at the day care.

Officials say the business has paid most of the nine-thousand dollars in back taxes owed the city.

The day care owner is scheduled to appear at a conditional use hearing on Thursday.
