ST. LOUIS – It’s the holy month of Ramadan for Muslims around the world.

According to Islamic belief, the month is filled with prayers and fasting in celebration of the revelation of the Quran to the prophet Muhammad.

Ramadan continues until around June 4, depending on the lunar cycle.

Alderman John Collins-Muhammad (21st Ward) visits Fox 2 News at 11 a.m. to discuss the importance of Ramadan and to promote an upcoming special event at St. Louis City Hall.
