ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI) - William Shatner wants to take Star Trek fans where they've never gone before, on a Star Trek-themed cruise. It's the brain-child of St. Louis-based Entertainment Cruise Productions.

The first ever officially licensed "Star Trek" cruise will embark in January 2017 on the Norwegian Pearl from Miami. The six-day cruise is part of the 50th Anniversary celebration for the Star Trek franchise, which first hit the airwaves in 1966.

William Shatner and other Star Trek stars will also be onboard. The cruise will visit Cozumel and Nassau.
