(KTVI) – St. Louis County Executive Charlie Dooley and county health director Dr. Dolores Gunn are encouraging everyone to get the flu shot this year.

Gunn and Dooley both rolled up their sleeves today and received a flu vaccination.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recommends everyone six and months and older get vaccinated against the flu.

For those afraid of needles, you can opt for the flu mist rather than a shot.
