St. Louis County police investigate homicide at north county apartment complex

ST. LOUIS COUNTY, Mo. – Homicide detectives with the St. Louis County Police Department are investigating a murder at a north county apartment complex. According to Sgt. Benjamin Granda, a police spokesman, the murder took place at the Laurel Park Apartments in the 9600 block of Ventura Drive.

Officers arriving on the scene discovered a vehicle had crashed through a fence and struck a parked car in the parking lot. Inside the vehicle, officers found an African-American male who had been shot.

Emergency Medical Technicians on the scene pronounced the man dead.

St. Louis County Police Department’s Bureau of Crimes Against Person has taken over the homicide investigation.
