ST. LOUIS (AP) _ St. Louis inspectors are examining an area where a street collapsed, causing a fire truck to get stuck in the sinkhole.

The pumper truck and a medic unit were responding to a call of a person in need of assistance just before 6 a.m. Thursday, near the Anheuser-Busch brewery. One end of the fire truck became stuck up to its axle in the street collapse. The medic unit arrived at the scene but the person was already dead of natural causes.

The cause of the sinkhole is not known.
