ST. LOUIS (KTVI) – A local man has taken to social media in the hopes of finding the brother he hardly knew.

Rick Campbell’s Facebook post has been shared hundreds of times by friends, family, and strangers looking to reunite him with his brother, whom he identifies as “Joshua Brannan Cosmo.”

According to Campbell’s post, he last saw his brother in 2001 when Joshua was just three-years old.

“My step mother and my father hit a low point in their life and decided it would be best for him to be adopted by a good family that wanted to adopt him. I never got to say goodbye. I didn’t even know he was being adopted until he was already adopted,” Rick Campbell writes FOX 2. “I was told I couldn’t try to find him until he turned 18. So I’ve been waiting for 15 years to do this.”
