ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI)- A South St. Louis family already beset by hardship was dealt another blow Wednesday afternoon when thieves stole a family car around 2:30pm in the Bevo neighborhood.

But it's what was inside the KIA Sportage that has the Ross family concerned. Whoever took the car also has a special needs wheelchair for a 2 year-old girl Fiona, who has Down syndrome. They also got away with Christmas presents.

St. Louis Police visited the family Thanksgiving morning.

The family has established a GoFundMe account to try and pay for a new car seat and the wheelchair.
