ST. LOUIS (KTVI) – Monday night marked the 10th homicide in St. Louis city since June 1st.

Around 6 pm police were called to a shooting at Riverview and North Broadway. The shooting took place in a strip mall right in front of one of the stores.

According to people at the scene, two friends were in the parking lot when a third individual pulled up.

That person started fighting one of the men that was there. The second person that was already there pulled out a gun to try and shoot the man beating up his friend, but accidently missed and shot his friend.

Family members tell me the victim was roughly 30-years-old and had one child.
