ST. LOUIS (AP) _ A group of U.S. Postal Service employees in St. Louis have claimed a $1 million Powerball lottery prize.

The Missouri Lottery said in a release Tuesday the eight Postal Service employees matched five of the winning numbers in the Dec. 19 drawing. The winning numbers from that drawing were: 28, 30, 41, 59 and 68.

Steven West, a member of the group of employees who routinely buy lottery tickets together, said he was checking the group’s collection of Powerball, Mega Millions and Lotto tickets, when he noticed one of their Powerball tickets matched five of the six numbers drawn.

The lottery says each member of the St. Lois group will receive about $125,000 before taxes. West says ideas for spending the money range from paying bills to buying property.
