ST. LOUIS (AP) – St. Louis police say restaurant workers captured a man suspected of shooting someone following a dispute at a MetroLink light rail station near Union Station.
The St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports that the 19-year-old suspect was caught Tuesday night after allegedly shooting a 17-year-old in the abdomen. The victim is hospitalized in stable condition.
A woman told police she and the suspect were arguing, and she threatened to spray him with pepper spray. He ran and allegedly pulled out a gun, firing one shot as he was running.
The victim was then found wounded. A witness told police that the victim had been arguing with the suspect.
As police chased the suspect, he was apprehended by two employees of a restaurant. The suspect’s name has not been released.
