St. Louis’ ticket amnesty program starts this weekend

ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI) - It's that time of the year again, to wipe the slate clean. St. Louis' amnesty program starts this weekend.

Better Family Life and St. Louis Community College have teamed up to help those with misdemeanors, traffic warrants, and child support cases. There's also a legal expo for those who need more assistance.

The program will be held this Saturday at the Meramec Campus of St. Louis Community College. On Thursday, August 11, it will be at the Florissant Valley Campus and on Saturday, August 13th, it will be at the Forest Park location. The event runs from 7am to 7pm each day.

2016 Amnesty Dates and Locations:

Saturday, August 6, 2016 - Meramec Campus, St. Louis Community College
Thursday, August 11, 2016 - Florissant Campus, St. Louis Community College
Saturday, August 13, 2016 - Forest Park Campus, St Louis Community College
All event days are from 7:00a.m. until 7:00p.m.

The Process:

Step 1: Resident attends Amnesty Program & Legal Expo on August 6, 11 or 13
Step 2: Resident completes workshop segment and receives a voucher
Step 3: Resident reports to appropriate municipality with voucher to obtain new court date
