ST. LOUIS – Visitors at the St. Louis Zoo helped celebrate Raja the Elephant’s golden birthday on Friday. The mild temperatures made for a more inviting party for all involved.

Raja was given special presents with plenty of treats inside and visitors signed a super-sized birthday card before serenading the Asian elephant with “Happy Birthday” at 11 a.m. A golden birthday is when your age matches the date you were born on.

Raja was the first Asian Elephant born at the zoo and has since fathered three female calves.
