Stabbing victim arrives at QuikTrip for help

NORTH COUNTY, MO (KTVI)- A busy scene at a North County gas station after a stabbing victim showed up for help. It happened around 7a.m. Wednesday at the QuikTrip at I- 270 and Lilac.

Police say they found the man suffering from a stab wound to the abdomen. The victim and a friend both told police the victim was stabbed nearby in the 1000 block of Mollerus Drive. Officers say the victim and the witness reported the stabbing was over a child custody issue.

A suspect is in custody.

The victim was taken to the hospital for treatment. The store is open.
