ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI) – The Station Plaza project is also set to begin. The 125-year-old brick warehouse originally built for drying tobacco is about to be transformed into apartments.
The St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports the six-story building at 1900 Pine street near Union Station will get a total interior rehab. It will converted into 87 studio, one and two-bedroom apartments.
The $10.5 million construction job will wipe out offices put into the now-vacant building in the 1980’s.
Rent for the new apartments will range from $525-$780 a month. They should be ready by January of next year.
