‘Steven Tyler Act’ To Protect Celebrities

(CNN) – Hawaii lawmakers are debating the new Steven Tyler Act. Yes, it’s who you think it is. the lead singer of the classic rock band Aerosmith.

Tyler is also a former “American Idol” judge, who owns property on Maui.

The new bill introduced in the state’s legislature would protect celebrities from paparazzi.

The measure actually states many famous residents and visitors “endure unwarranted invasion into their personal lives.”

The new bill would make it illegal to invade someone’s privacy “in a manner that is offensive to a reasonable person.”

It’s unclear though whether the legislation could hold up under a legal challenge
