ST. LOUIS (KTVI) – Another round of heavy rain and strong thunderstorms for parts of the viewing area. A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until midnight for Iron, Madison, Perry, Reynolds, and Dent counties in Missouri. The focus of the strongest storms and heaviest rain appears to be south of the metro St. Louis area. Large hail and damaging winds with a quick spin-up tornado are possible South of Ste. Genevieve. The heavy rain will taper after Midnight with 1″ to 2″ inches possible. Noticeably cooler air arrives as the rain exits the area about daybreak.
