ST. LOUIS, Mo. — Strong thunderstorms are expected late Wednesday afternoon and evening. Some of these storms may produce heavy rain, large hail, and strong wind gusts. Prime start time is between 3-5pm to the southwest and 7-9pm to the northeast. The storm threat is done by Midnight, but some spot showers and thundershowers will linger into Thursday.
The puck drops at 7:00pm for Game 2 of the Stanley Cup Final and that is in the heart of this evening’s dangerous weather. Blues fans that plan to be at Enterprise Center, Ballpark Village, a favorite local hangout, or even on their couch need to be sure you have a weather app on their phone and a way to get alerts. Also, try to get to your final destination early so you aren’t arriving during blinding rain or strong storms.
On the area rivers, levels continue to rise and new crests are already working their way downstream thanks to heavy rain up north and out west. The new forecasts do take into account most of the forecast rainfall…but some adjustments may still be necessary based on actual observed rainfall amounts.
