JEFFERSON COUNTY, MO (KTVI) - Fast moving strong storms brought a quick burst of hail gusty winds and torrential rain as they swept south through Jefferson County.

Street crews worked quickly to cut up a large tree that fell across Front Road—just off of Highway Z west of Festus and Pevely—taking out cable and telephone lines.

Not far away, 40 to 50 mile per hour winds split a tree in half in the Sand Castle subdivision. Fortunately, no injuries were reported.
