(KTVI) –  This frigid weather is not all bad. Researchers are finding that colder temperatures may trim your waistline.

Researchers say that varying the temperatures in your home forces the body to work harder to keep you comfortable. Like a furnace, you will burn more calories. You don’t need to shiver. Just put your furnace on just below your comfort level.

Doctors say that spending two hours in a 63 degree environment each day will decrease body fat and decrease your heating bill.
