UPDATE: Thurlester Johnson Charged with 20 Additional Counts – Probable Cause Statement
ST. LOUIS MO (KTVI) – A man has been charged in connection with several robberies in St. Louis. Thurlester Johnson, 44 has been charged with 30 Counts for Armed Robberies. Johnson was on parole for a case that included 24 counts of 1st Degree Robbery and 27 counts of Armed Criminal Action.
Johnson is suspected of robbing five women who were leaving a Cardinals game on the night of August 22nd. According to the police report he pointed a gun at them, saying “I want to see five purses on the ground. I’m not playing around.” He got their purses and took off with a second suspect in a SUV.
He is also a suspect in a robbery outside of a bingo game on August 10th. According to St. Louis Police he approached four people who left a bingo game and told them to “drop everything you have, do it or I’ll shoot you all.” He then allegedly took a briefcase, wallet, purse and jewelry from the victims. In this instance he fired at the victims. One of the bingo players had a concealed carry permit and fired back at Johnson.
