ST. LOUIS (KTVI) – The Blues family is now one note larger as Vladimir Tarasenko’s wife Yana gave birth to Aleksandr Tarasenko Tuesday morning.

Tarasenko missed Tuesday morning’s skate around to be with his wife, but Blues coach Ken Hitchcock believes he’ll be ready to play in Game 2 of the Western Conference Finals.

Having a baby on the day of a game seems to provide a bit of good luck to Blues players. According to our partners at the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, two players recently scored goals after welcoming a baby into the world.

Forward Kyle Brodziak scored four goals in six games after son Luca was born in late March. Forward Ryan Reaves scored a goal after the son of his Kanen in early March.
