Teen honored for work with homeless teenagers

ST.CHARLES COUNTY, MO (KTVI) – A St. Charles County teenager was honored for her work in helping homeless teens.  18-year-old Yearam Tak a senior at Francis Howell High School is a finalist in the “Prudential Spirit of Community Award.”

She started her own charity called “Hope for Next Generation”, it pairs 40 homeless teens with student mentors. Together they work on school assignments and personal issues.

She’s raised more than $9,800 and wants to expand to help local shelters and families.
