MANCHESTER, MO (KTVI) - A teenager heading to school Thursday morning was accosted by a stranger at the bus stop. Now the Parkway South sophomore is nervous about catching the school bus.

The student was waiting for his bus at the corner of Enchanted Parkway and Pinyon. He was one of only two children at the stop. Children of all ages catch the bus in this quiet complex of apartments and town homes but this morning that calm was shaken.

The 15-year-old sophomore ran home frightened from the stop after a man pulled up demanding the student tell him where to get drugs. The boy told the stranger he couldn't help him.

The mother says the man got out of the car and grabbed the teen by the collar. He said, "Stop acting dumb, you know what I'm talking about." Then the 15-year-old kicked him in the shin.

Police say the man was driving a black Escalade or Avalanche truck. He was white or Hispanic with a green star tattooed on his neck.

School officials have assured the mom they will work with police to provide security at the bus stop.
