CREVE COEUR, MO (KTVI) – Emergency responders raced to the scene in Creve Coeur Thursday afternoon after a medical building had to be evacuated because of structural problems.
Shortly before 2pm an Enterprise delivery truck struck a support beam in the parking garage. The roof grades up, so the top of the truck began taking out the drop ceiling. The driver continued and stop just short of the east side exit.
There doesn’t appear to be any structural damage. Those working on the floor above the garage because quite a scare. There was electrical and plumbing damage. At about 3:30 firefighters evacuated the building.
The water and electric was turned off. A structural engineer was brought in to determine if the building is safe.
As for the stuck truck, they will likely take the air out of the tires to safely remove it. No injuries were reported from the accident
