Three-story home catches fire in Shaw neighborhood

ST. LOUIS – St. Louis fire crews rushed to the Shaw neighborhood Wednesday afternoon to fight a growing fire at a large home.

The fire happened at a three-story brick residence in the 4100 block of Castleman Avenue.

Heavy flames could be seen coming from the second and third floors.

One occupant was accounted for outside the building, according to a spokesperson for the St. Louis Fire Department.

One firefighter partially fell through the second floor but was not seriously injured. They were treated by EMS and released.
