(KTVI) – When Oklahoma City Thunder’s Kevin Durant was a child, he only dreamed of being a basketball coach to young kids in his neighborhood. He had no idea his road would lead him to the MVP spot for 2014 in the NBA.
He’s been a well-like player for several years, but when he stood and gave an emotional speech while accepting his award, Durant may became THE most like player in the NBA.
Durant thanked his mother for her hard work and keeping him on the right track. He reminisced about how she wouldn’t eat, but made sure the children had food and clothes. At the end of his speech, he called her “the real MVP.” Now, go call your mother.
