Toddler Death Blamed On Chili Powder Punishment

(KTLA) – Amanda Sorensen, 21, of Apple Valley CA has been arrested in connection to a toddler’s death.  TV station KTLA reports that police believe the child died as a result of eating chili powder as a punishment. Sunday for a child suffering from a seizure after ingesting chili powder.  She is believed to be the girlfriend of the toddler’s father.

The 2-year-old girl was taken to a local hospital, where she was pronounced dead.An autopsy will be performed to determine the exact cause of death.

She is being held on $500,000 bail.   Sorensen is scheduled to appear in court on Wednesday.
