ST. CHARLES, MO (KTVI) – Residents in St. Charles city and county were caught off guard Tuesday morning when area tornado sirens began going off.
Fortunately, there was no cause for alarm.
Fox 2 News reached out to city and county authorities, who confirmed the sirens were malfunctioning and there was no imminent severe weather threat. The sirens will be fixed.
The cause of the malfunction has not been determined.
