WOODSON TERRACE, MO (KTVI) - Renters living in the Airline Park mobile home park, located across from Lambert-St. Louis International Airport, have not had running water for just over two weeks. Now their landlord is saying they have five days to move out.

Airline Park is owned by OHM Properties LLC., which sources say also owns a vacant strip mall just east of the park and a Holiday Inn Express just east of the strip mall.

A source says the owners plan to turn all of that property into long term airport parking.

Renters say every resident of Airline Park was hand-delivered an eviction notice last week, giving them five days to leave, which would have been this past Wednesday.

The notice says the eviction is for non-payment of rent, but the residents who spoke to Fox 2 claim they are paid up. What is not paid up is the trailer park’s water bill, which is why Missouri American Water says it cut off water to the entire park on April 28.

“We can’t really do anything without running water,” said resident Tonya Gaiter. “We can’t cook because we want to save our bottled water to drink. We also use it to flush the toilet and to bathe.”

A spokesperson for the water company says the landlord has not paid a water bill since the end of February.

When a Fox 2 News crew went to the property manager’s unit, no one answered the door. Fox 2 also attempted to reach the owner by phone, but the call was not returned.

The water company spokesman says they could turn the water back on within 24 hours if the landlord pays the bill, which is now up to $5,717, including penalties for late payment.
