ST. JOSEPH, MO – A fifth grade girl is facing assault charges in Missouri.  She’s reportedly been accused of bullying in the past, but this time, it was all caught on tape, and parents want her expelled.

KSHB-TV reports that the School District has launched an investigation into the Facebook video. The St. Joseph School District is treating the incident as an assault.

Police arrested the 11-year-old last week. The school is trying to determine what to do with the other children involved. Students may face a 180 day suspension or expulsion if they are charged in a crime.

The girl’s father tells KSHB-TV that he tried to gain custody of her. He has seen the video and is holding on judgment until he hears from his daughter. The girl’s mother was unavailable for comment.

Not all of the children in the video went to St. Joseph schools. They are working with other districts in those cases. Police are still investigating the assault.
