DALLAS, Texas – It wasn’t the prom one Dallas Texas area couple had expected.
But in the end it will be a prom they are both likely to remember forever.
After a ‘bad car accident’ sent high school senior Alyah Mitchell’s date to the hospital, the Mesquite High School senior soccer player had to attend her prom solo over the past weekend.

While Mitchell made the most of her prom she was thinking about her date much of the time.
So she did something special. A few days after the dance was over she put on her dress, did her hair and makeup and she surprised him in the hospital.

Mitchell’s man is ‘recovering well’ but is seen in the photos she tweeted still in a wheel chair.
The smile on both their faces tells the story of the memory they will both likely share for the rest of their lives.
