BECKEMEYER, IL (KTVI)-  More and more couples are deciding to learn the sex of their baby before birth. And that means more and more couples  are finding creative ways to reveal their babies gender to their families and friends.  But pink or blue cakes and balloons weren’t enough for one Illinois couple.

When Nick and Tiffany Baker threw a party to announce whether they were having a boy or a girl, they turned to the Beckemeyer Fire Department for help. Right on cue, the firemen turned on their powerful hose to reveal a stream of…BLUE water.  A baby boy is on the way.

On a Facebook post, Tiffany wrote, “from the moment we found out we were pregnant we both swore we knew the sex and we were expecting to see the color we thought but when it was the other color we were in complete shock.”

Jondro Studios shot the video and uploaded it to YouTube.

Beckemeyer is located Clinton County, Illinois, between Breese and Carlyle.
