DECATUR, IL (AP) – A trial date was set Thursday for the 23-year-old woman charged with helping her brother plan to kill several people in Harristown in 2011.

Katrina Giles faces first-degree murder charges in the deaths of Cindanett “Cindy” Eaton, 57, and her daughter Lindsey Eaton, 23. She’s also charged in the attempted murder of the intended target Casey Eaton, then 27, the daughter and sister of the other victims. Casey Eaton, the former girlfriend of Giles’ brother and mother of his child, survived after being stabbed more than 40 times and shot twice, the Decatur Herald & Review reported.

Giles is accused of participating in her brother’s murder plot, through which he hoped to gain custody of his young daughter, and trying to help him establish an alibi. Her trial date is set for Feb. 23, 2015.

Timothy Giles, 30, pleaded guilty to first-degree murder and attempted first-degree murder on Feb. 4. He’s serving a life sentence at Stateville Correctional Center.
