FLORISSANT, MO (KTVI) – The St. Louis County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office charged three young men in connection with a recent car theft, burglary, and police pursuit in a Florissant neighborhood.
According to Officer Craig DeHart, a spokesman for the Florissant Police Department, the incident took place Tuesday, April 21 in the 1400 block of Zurich. Officers were called to a home burglary.
They located the suspects’ vehicle and attempted to pull them over, but that turned into a brief car chase.
DeHart said the police pursuit ended in the 400 block of Marie in Ferguson, when two of the suspects were apprehended. The third suspect was arrested a short time later.
The vehicle involved in the suspected burglary had been reported stolen from St. John, DeHart said.
Investigators determined the trio was connected to several burglaries in the Florissant area, and may be tied to burglaries and car thefts in other jurisdictions.
Prosecutors charged 17-year-old Jeremiah Richardson with one count of motor vehicle theft, one count of first-degree attempted burglary, one count of resisting arrest, and six counts of burglary.
Seventeen-year-old Mark Richardson was charged with one count of motor vehicle theft, one count of first-degree attempted burglary, and one count of resisting arrest.
Stanley Foster, 19, was charged with one count of first-degree attempted burglary, one count of resisting arrest, and six counts of burglary.
The three men are being held at the St. Louis County Justice Center on cash-only bonds.
