TAYLOR CO., KY (WDRB) – A farmer thought he had a set of twin calves in his field, then he got a little closer and noticed he had one lucky cow.
On the McCubbin farm northeast of Campbellsville; the birth of a heifer calf is anything but rare.
But Lucky, as she’s known — well, she really earned her name.
Walking his Spurlington Road property, Friday Stan McCubbin had to do a double-take.
While the family says she is lucky to be alive, she does have her share of problems.
The middle two of her four eyes, they don’t blink, and while she is able to stand up, she walks in circles and then falls over.
Most animals with this incredibly rare genetic mutation are stillborn.
Lucky, though — the McCubbins say — seems healthy.
But their concern is how long that will last.
Since Lucky’s birth, the McCubbins say they’ve had several visits from people who have heard about the calf with two faces and just want to see her up-close.
