ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI)– Two suspects have been charged in Tuesday’s officer involved shooting. Roderick McAllister and Derez Austell are in police custody after a manhunt that lasted more than an hour. The pair was located in what’s described as a drainage ditch along train tracks near the River Des Peres. One was injured, suffering either contusions or a graze wound from a bullet.

Police say three men burst into the home in the 6200 block in what appeared to be a robbery. One of the trio is dead after a shootout with St. Louis police. It happened on Famous Avenue, just south of the Dogtown neighborhood in south city. Police identified that suspect as Brandon Jones.

Two female officers, ages 48 and 38, approached the back of the house when two of the suspects started shooting.  The officers returned fire, hitting one of the men in the chest.  He died at the hospital a couple of hours later.
